Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener FOR DIETARY TREATMENT OF INCREASED SPIT-UP AND REGURGITATION
From birth on
It is no cause for concern if babies spit-up or regurgitate after eating during the first few weeks of life. But if there are large quantities of spit-up or it lasts for a long time, you should visit your paediatrician. If they recommend that you thicken their usual diet, you can use Aptamil AR Thickener.
Locust bean gum is a bulking agent that makes your baby’s usual food especially creamy and ensures that it stays in their stomach better. Aptamil AR Thickener can be added directly to the expressed breast milk, baby formula or special diet or as a paste to feed your baby before breastfeeding.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener is especially suitable for babies who regurgitate food more than usual.

Our unique recipe
Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener can be used to thicken breast milk, baby formula or special foods. It makes the food particularly creamy thanks to the natural swelling agent locust bean gum, which ensures that the food stays in the stomach better and that reflux (reflux) is reduced.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener is suitable for the dietary treatment of increased spit-up and regurgitation. Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener can be mixed with breast milk, your usual formula or special nutrition*. Please use only under medical supervision. After a few days, the symptoms should subside. If this is not the case, please contact your paediatrician again.
* Aptamil AR is not suitable for premature babies and low birth-weight infants (<1800 g). Please do not use Aptamil AR Thickener together with Aptamil AR Complete Nutrition or Aptamil Comfort.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux Thickener contains natural locust bean gum, which makes your baby's usual diet rich in suppleness, helping to keep it in their stomach and reducing reflux.
Aptamil Anti-Reflux can be used individually. You can add it directly to the pumped breastmilk, the usual baby formula or special nutrition or feed it to your baby as a paste before breastfeeding.
